DTN Account Executive

SUMMARY:
The Destination Travel Network Account Executive is a dynamic and results-oriented individual responsible for sales goal attainment and client management through successfully identifying, selling, and closing online ad sales to local advertisers. Highly developed and comprehensive understanding of online advertising and a broader knowledge of other forms of media and advertising and knowledge/experience in meeting sales goals through the efforts of others required.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Meet or exceed aggressive sales goals and overall department and strategic organizational objectives, measured by sales incremental revenue growth. 
  • Diligent in calling on local advertisers daily to represent and sell the Destination Travel Network interactive advertising programs. 
  • Ability to handle an aggressive schedule of daily calls and direct sales contact with clients in person and via phone/web conference. 
  • Initiate overall sales strategy for selling online media campaigns across five or more markets nationwide through sales staff. 
  • Demonstrate the value of interactive advertising to new and existing customers. 
  • Review and approve all collected and organized creative from advertisers for sold campaigns. 
  • Monitor submitted campaign insertion orders and creative to operations, so sold campaigns can be sourced to the Destination Travel Network.

REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Successful advertising sales record of at least 5 years, including at least 3 in the in the online media  space. 
  • Must have demonstrated abilities in sales, negotiations, cold calling, presentations/webinars, developing new online revenue, and partner relationship management. 
  • Strong communication skills to convey programs and creative advertising opportunities to clients and to motivate sales team. 
  • Superior skills in all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, presenting, negotiating and closing sales.  
  • Good at building long-term and substantive relationships with local advertisers, agencies and national clients. 
  • Understand and embrace the entrepreneurial environments and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the building of a premier vertical ad network. 
  • An understanding of the digital media landscape, as well as a solid grasp of technology and the Web. • Strong understanding of industry trends, technologies and online media pricing models. 
  • Strong knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis. 
  • A person who really enjoys what they do for a living and is seeking a stable, secure and growth oriented career. 
  • The ability to structure deals and package advertising programs. 
  • Excellent understanding of agency dynamics and how they operate as well as ad planning, placement and buying. 
  • Understanding of audience profiles, online ad targeting, and campaign optimization. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
