About the Role

As a hardware engineer, you will be part of the team that is responsible for designing and developing hardware for the current and next generation of gateway and connectivity systems, powertrain control systems, body controls systems, chassis systems, and diagnostic systems. 

  1. Defining the hardware architecture of the platform
  2. Designing and documenting the hardware platform, schematic and BOM capture.
  3. Working with the CAD team on the PCB layout
  4. Using lab-based design verification and integration tools
  5. Working with and managing suppliers/manufacturing partners including overseas build support.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. BS or MS in Electronics and/or Electrical Engineering
  2. Must-have requirements for candidates include proficiency in the following areas/aspects:
  3. Strong EE background in analog and digital design.
  4. Good troubleshooting skills with analysis and debugging ability on board bring up
  5. Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification and manufacturing support.
  6. Hands on experience in working with Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, 
  7. Hands on experience with schematic design and layout tools
  8. Successful track record of working closely with Mechanical Engineering and Firmware teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Nice to have experience with: 
  2. C programming
  3. Python scripting
  4. Git version control system
  5. Embedded systems and low-level driver implementation (like SPI, ADC, PWM, CAN, LIN, etc.)
  6. Computer Science principles like data structures and algorithms (so that you can better communicate and collaborate with the firmware development team)
