SHOWFIELDS is the most interesting store in the world, showcasing the brands of tomorrow in an ever evolving and experiential environment. We launched our first floor of our flagship location at 11 Bond Street in December 2018, which focuses on brands redefining wellness, such as quip, Gravity Blanket, CITYROW, Nuria, and more. 

Our remaining three floors launched in March 2019 for our grand opening, featuring home brands, design brands, and our community space. Our community floor, The Loft, is designed as a beautiful loft apartment with an oversized roof deck and test kitchen outfitted by Monogram. The Loft will play host to the public during the day and at night will be by invitation only for events, programming, dinners, and private parties.

COMMUNITY MANAGER //

We are seeking a highly organized self-starter to schedule, manage and run our community events, programming, and private parties. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the future of retail and the success and expansion of SHOWFIELDS. 

DAILY ACTIVITIES //
  • Be responsible for the development and execution of a year-round program of great events that bring together our member community to learn, be entertained, inspired and create valuable connections
  • Thrive to be locally relevant - get grounded in and familiar with the communities we operate within. Think of marketing and outreach ideas that organically make sense for the local community
  • Maintain our great relationships with brand partners, vendors, agencies and develop new relationships with cultural institutions for event programming and collaboration opportunities
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of current and future trends, ensuring the event’s calendar is varied, innovative, original and interesting for our target audience
  • Be responsible for a holistic year-round view of the US events calendar and make recommendations based on internal peak-times such as site openings, off-peak/slow-season opportunities and external cultural calendar moments
  • Work with SHOWFIELDS brand partners to host events in the space for their existing following and/or to the general public on a monthly basis
  • Promote, manage, and close sales of private event spaces
  • Respond to all NYC private event inquiries and direct external inquiries to the appropriate market
  • Coordinate, execute and staff private events
  • Manage relationships and execute contracts for private event bookings
  • Work with our Marketing Coordinator and Social Media Coordinator to create and develop promotional pages and supporting materials for events as needed
  • Collaborate to spot any weaknesses in event programming to ensure the events appeal to a broad spectrum of members
  • Central Operations: Work with the CRO, Store Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator and brand representatives to deliver small and large scale events from planning, design, logistics, P&L, branding, guest-list, communications, at-event management, & review/evaluation
  • Maintain brand identity throughout programming and coordination
  • Evaluate post-event return on investment based on budget, resources, and lead generation

REQUIREMENTS //
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in event strategy, coordination, production, and client management
  • B.A. in Marketing, Business or similar discipline
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
  • Experience creating programming/event calendars, and communicating these ideas with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Client facing experience
  • Comfort with a fast pace environment and with working nights and weekends to ensure the success of scheduled events
  • Ability to drive projects from concept to implementation, analyzing results and providing strong rationale for recommendations
  • Sense of ownership around all work
  • Propensity to build strong relationships, internally and externally
  • Familiarity with managing a marketing budget
  • Comfort with setting and achieving KPIs around events and revenue
  • Experience working with all social media platforms, ad networks, marketing automations software (Hubspot / Marketo) and CRM
