Senior Front End Engineer

Sense is hiring a senior front-end engineer to join our small and growing team. This position will be part of the Sense Platform engineering team focused on building and managing the client engineering efforts towards our roadmap.  This position will require providing technical leadership to a small team of engineers as well as hands-on design, coding and development.  There's an opportunity to work/manage full stack and own features end to end as long as you have especially strong frontend skills.

About this role:
- Work with other development teams, Product Owners, and others to maintain high levels of transparency, efficiency, and collaboration
- Grow the technical expertise of your teams in web technologies, performance, scalability, maintainable architecture and experimentation
- Work with backend engineers to build features and new products 
- Work in React to implement frontend systems 
- Meaningfully contribute to the product by suggesting improvements and thinking through features with the whole team 
- Document and educate the rest of the team on front-end best practices
- Participate in architecture discussions guiding our use of JavaScript, React, and other web technologies
- Work with the recruiting team to attract, onboard, and retain diverse top talent

About you:
- You are knowledgeable and passionate about software engineering practices, primarily focussed on web technologies
- You have at least two years of experience leading software development teams and delivering working software together with them
- You bring energy, positivity and drive to the teams you work with
- You thrive when developing great people, not just great products
- We're building on React so experience there helps, but isn't a requirement 
- Expert CSS and HTML skills in building complex layouts 
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling
