Our design program here at Sense is growing, and our Head of User Experience is looking to hire our first full time Product Design Specialist to own and evolve the UI & UX across all of our current and future products. We are looking for a creative and pragmatic designer—someone who will help us find solutions to user pain points we didn't know we needed to solve. This is a unique opportunity to help build the product design team from the ground up. Working closely with the rest of the org to figure out how to best solve our users problems.
Our team is organized around designers who are flexible, but who specialize in either Graphic Design, User Research, or Product Design. Our product designers create complex wireframes, which they then turn into pixel-perfect, development-ready visuals.
Our mission is to improve the daily lives of recruiters at staffing firms. The biggest challenge to working at Sense is that our platform is complex. In order to schedule, organize, and augment recruiters daily work through automation means that our systems IA can get very challenging, very quickly. But also needs to feel easy to use.
You’ll be part of rotating project teams from the beginning until launch, working side by side with a PM, and the engineering team.
Designed and launched multiple products/major features/apps. This takes most people 5+ years, but it may vary depending on your past teams/employers.
Cut your teeth at a few companies designing great consumer facing or enterprise products.
Ability to demonstrate excellent use of typography, color, imagery, and graphic elements.
Ability to negotiate and articulate the “why” of design decisions. You’ll need to convince, to disagree confidently, take and give straightforward criticism.
Expertise working daily in Sketch App
Ability to provide visual specification and production ready files to engineers.
