Operations Manager

JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking for an Operations Manager who is passionate about ensuring an accurate and timely delivery of functional luxury products to customers. In this role, you will be leading a Fulfillment team at the fulfillment center, as well as managing key 3PL vendors now and in the future. 

You will work closely with the Head of Operations and act as a key team member responsible for receiving, fulfillment and returns. You will take ownership of all fulfillment operations (both in-house and 3PL) while keeping a fanatical customer-focused perspective. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely outbound shipping to all of our customers worldwide as well as coordinating inbound shipments from our factory in Italy. You will become a key internal resource and expert in our inventory management and shipping tools and will aid in scaling up our fulfillment center capabilities as the business continues to grow. ​You will have a unique opportunity to train and build the fulfillment operations department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee internal fulfillment team in South San Francisco team as well as external vendors (i.e., 3PL) conducting shipping, receiving, returns processing and customer order support
  • Develop the internal fulfillment capabilities, which may include staffing, hiring, and hands-on management of the internal team
  • Become an internal expert on our fulfillment systems (Shopify, TopShelf/Scout and ShipStation) to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment
  • Ensure adherence to strict Quality Control processes and protocols
  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory control processes and counts and work with the production team to minimize backorders and shipping delays 
  • Coordinate all inbound shipments from our factory in Italy
  • Maintain condition of the fulfillment center by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment/inventory, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement, and generally keeping a “tight ship”
  • Conduct fulfillment-related analyses and create processes guiding continuous improvement in fulfillment efficiency and accuracy to elevate the customer experience
  • Research and weigh new fulfillment center options as the business rapidly grows

SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with focus on execution, problem-solving, and improving processes across channels
  • Equal parts people-person, hands-on manager and data analyst
  • Diligent about packing and sending a product that is a positive reflection of the SENREVE brand and will ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ability to think critically and learn quickly in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Motivated self-starter that can take on projects and manage them end-to-end, seeking help and guidance as needed
  • Sound business judgement when interacting with customers, internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Gets the job done right every time, on-time and in an organized fashion

  • Outstanding communication skills with both customers and senior management team

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in eCommerce Fulfillment or Operations, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience managing an internal Fulfillment team and a 3PL a big plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not mandatory 
  • Located near our fulfillment center in South San Francisco
