Select is looking for a permanent Administrative Assistant with a myriad of skills! Our agricultural client would like someone to perform Front Desk, AP, AR Duties and possess the ability to operate a forklift. Are you one of the very few people who possess all these abilities? We need to meet you!!
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Attending the Front Counter; developing & maintaining quality relationships with clientele
* Filing and record upkeep; preparing customer forms and compiling sales reports
* Creating, receiving, and processing orders
* Maintaining consistency when submitting reports and records
* Light cleaning in office and warehouse
* Answering customer inquiries and concerns via phone or email
* Billing, invoicing, collections, deposits, and reconciliations
* Accurate data entry into accounting software for payables and receivables
* Operating a forklift to distribute, sort, stack, or secure materials/supplies
* Inventory control – purchasing, labelling, documenting, organizing, and storing
* Attending training sessions/safety orientations when necessary
Required Qualifications:
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, & Sage
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* An outgoing and positive demeanor would best fit our client’s culture
* Critically important to have a high attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; great phone etiquette
Bonus Points For:
* Familiar with the agriculture industry
* Post-secondary education in accounting, administrative, or business management
* Forklift ticket
Compensation & Hours:
* The rate of pay is expected to be $40K - $50K/year
* This is a fulltime, permanent position
* Monday – Friday
