Construction Estimator and Project Manager

Construction Project Manager position available at Southeastern Industrial Construction, LLC. All of our projects are in the Southeast, mainly AL, MS and FL. Federal Customers include USACE and NAVFAC. Project Manager out of AL to work mainly at Maxwell Airforce Base and other surrounding military installations.

Position Description:

• Provides oversight of company contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensures quality control of all assigned projects, resource allocation and construction standards.
• Provides Quality Control and Safety guidance and audits same.
• Leads team and construction progress meetings.
• Part of the proposal team and operations to support winning proposals.
• Monitors work progress and costs and provide project reports as requested.
• Identifies project scope; coordinates with management or others to identify goals, time frame, budget, labor and allotment of resources.
• Develops project plans including but not limited to project set-up, creating budget, project schedule and project tracking sheets.
• Manages purchasing for projects, including purchase orders, invoices receipts and sub-contractor insurance and bonds.
• Provides reports on project status; meets with stakeholders as project progresses.
• Contract administration of change proposals and orders, payments, payroll reports and cash flow.
• Project administration of project planning and construction techniques with superintendent.
• Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies, procedures and government regulations.
• Project closeout by obtaining final permits and certifications; prepare, transmit and collect final waivers.
• Maintain strong relationships with both internal personnel and external customers.

Qualifications:
• 5-10+ years experience in construction management, or successful completion of a higher degree with a major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology.
• RS Means estimating experience preferred
• Prior DOD experience a must (either in the military or civilian employment).
• Experience in skill, labor standard, job site evaluations and construction documentation. Read, understand and review blueprints, construction plans, documentation and contracts.
• Previous experience managing projects with the USACE and or NAVFAC.
• Provide articulate explanations, progress reports, concepts and processes in writing.
• Must pass drug screen, criminal and background check.
