Business Development Representative

We are seeking an exceptional business development professional to prospect, qualify and drive leads to our sales organization. In this position, you will be responsible for identifying, connecting with, and qualifying prospects in order to set up meetings for the sales organization.   This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in developing the sales pipeline needed to achieve our aggressive revenue goals against a market that is ready to harvest. 

Position Responsibilities: 
  • Manage all inbound sales call/lead inquiries and generate sales opportunities
  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop interest to secure net new business opportunities via outbound prospecting within defined target segments which may include outbound ‘cold-calling’ via communication channels such as phone, email and social media 
  • Present and articulate technical security acumen, business credibility, and understanding to each prospect 
  • Conduct the research required to understand the prospect’s business, technology, and product requirements and develop a compelling value proposition 
  • Enable a positive, professional sales cycle experience with all prospects 
  • Ensure handoffs to sales are successful and seamless

Job Requirements: 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the prospecting process with skills including cold-calling, identifying new business, navigating on-line tools for data mining and prospecting qualified decision makers 
  • Work experience should include a minimum of 1-2 years in a sales, demand generation or sales support role 
  • Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet, SalesForce tools, and MS Office or Google Doc tools - Outreach or Salesloft experience is a big plus
  • An understanding of security, networking and technology solutions is preferred
  • Confident, ambitious, self-starter, positive, energetic, professional and team-oriented attitude 
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast paced environment 
  • BS or BA in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
  • Meet/exceed all assigned performance targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
