The Position. We’re looking for a Staffing Scheduler to support the time and attendance for all front line, hourly staff who provide various services in the building including dining, care, and environmental services. The Staffing Scheduler acts as the time and attendance support for the Operations and Employee team and is responsible for providing detailed employee scheduling, attendance and planning assistance in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the policies and procedures of Seasons Retirement Communities. The successful applicant of this role appreciates the details of policy and compliance and is a motivated leader who understands the positive service impact that time and attendance accountability has on our valued residents and team members.

Qualifications or Skills Required:
• 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent Computer skills
• Knowledge of timekeeping systems
• Experience working with collective agreements
• Strong background in a time and attendance support role within the HR function
• Relationship management experience with customer focus
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
• Excellent process and query management skills
Education 
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification, 
• Successful completion of secondary school or recognized equivalent; and
• Relative equivalent professional experience related to staff/schedule/payroll supervision and administration. 

Responsibilities: 
• Support the Community, Employee Services and Payroll department in organizing and monitoring the work schedules of the Community’s employees; ensure alignment with staff schedules and budgets
• Approve and schedule employee time off in accordance with employment standards, Seasons policies and applicable policies and/or collective agreements
• Ensure vacant positions are filled to meet staffing requirements to comply with internal and external policies 
• Create and maintain daily, weekly and biweekly staffing reports
• Verify employees’ work hours and requested time off 
• Provide education to Service Team Leader’s and front line staff on time off policies and entitlements. Tightly manage and escalate concerns of time off inconsistencies, job vacancies and scheduling concerns.
