We're seeking a team-oriented, patient-centric Dental Assistant with impressive communication & organization skills, willing & able to go above & beyond.
In partnership with dentists, as a Dental Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to improve & increase the efficiency of the delivery and quality oral health care.
Prepare treatment rooms, based on prescribed procedures and protocols - including sterilized instrumentation & utensils.
Ensure optimal operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
In partnership with the Practice Manager, maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping.
Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
Inform & educate patients and staff by answering questions and requests.
Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies; pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
Help dentist manage dental and medical procedures.
Protect patients and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Remain prepared & ready for emergencies by maintaining CPR/AED certification, drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by meeting or exceeded established KPIs & goals.
