We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Manager, Workforce Optimization. You will focus on optimizing clinical compensation spend with emphasis on both the rate and volume components for our Anesthesia Services, OR our Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist Medicine Services, OR our Radiology Services, Women's & Children's Services, and Surgery Services. Expertise within each specialty is a plus, but not as necessary as your depth of experience in business analysis, compensation and productivity modeling, and labor/ staffing management experience at the professional, management level within the health care industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop meaningful and actionable compensation spend analysis reports for operations leadership in your specific service line.
- Provide actual versus budget/forecast variance and trending analysis.
- Develop proactive tools to monitor and adjust staffing utilization.
- Serve as subject matter expert for workforce systems implementations and enhancements.
- Support Operations and Finance in the creation of annual compensation and staffing budgets.
- Work with Clinical Compensation Director to perform proactive compensation reviews for assigned book of business.
Required skills & experience:
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University; preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, Analytics, or a Healthcare related field and 5 or more years of experience as detailed above. Master's Degree preferred.
- 3 or more years of health care or clinical operations management, and financial analysis experience.
- 3 or more years' experience optimizing compensation spend analysis activity by rate and volume.
- Advanced expertise in PowerPoint and Excel (macros, pivot tables, creating formulas, etc.), as well as with financial and data reporting software.
- Effective communication and presentation skills working with peers and various levels of management, including Executive Leadership.
"Nice-to-haves"
- Experience using Tableau, Hyperion, Kronos, SharePoint, and working with Worked RVU's highly desirable.
- Need to have a comfort level working in a decentralized, matrixed environment.
- Able to simplify complex multi-level data analysis into concise and easy to understand reports in PowerPoint or Excel for management review; and then "parse and tell the story" to multiple levels of management and users, presenting the data in ways that are relevant to each audience.

- Whether remote or on-site, this position will require 25% travel and at times throughout the year up to 50% travel; typically planned 1-2 weeks in advance.
- Relocation is included in compensation package for out-of-area candidates.
- Sign-on bonus and annual bonus also included in overall comp package.
