More about the specific role:
We have extraordinary goals for growth in our veterinary clinic partners. We have a fully staffed sales team, and we are looking for an Assoc. Product Manager to help build products to get more warm clinic leads into their funnels. This APM will lead the strategy, prioritization and build of lead generating marketing products (think ebook download lead capture or missed revenue calculator to help capture leads), CRM software improvements, and our clinic-to-clinic Referral Program.
We are looking for a leader that can empathize with our potential clinic users through analyzing various data sources, develop lead generation feature hypotheses and test plans for these proposed features, prioritize these features using basic business analysis, and partner with our Technology & Product teams to scope out realistic plans to run MVP tests and ultimately roll out successful features.
Some qualifications include:
1 - 4 years of product management experience or similar role in an analytically rigorous environment
Experience with building various lead generation and/or MarTech products, CRM systems and marketing technologies.
Strong verbal / written communication skills, with a penchant for technical writing (to communicate with our Partnerships and Technical teams)
Thoroughness in developing “happy” and “unhappy” paths for a proposed feature change - we are looking for someone that can document and understand not just the happy path, but feel comfortable documenting and understanding the multiple unhappy paths
Business case analysis - you should have a basic knowledge of profitability, ROI, and know how to apply each of these concepts to build impactful analyses for each feature proposal.
Project management - to be successful in the APM role, it will require some project management (timeline scoping, documentation, and email follow-through). Some product management roles do not require any project management, however this role will.
Bonus qualifications: experience in veterinary / animal health, UX development, or FinTech
Below are a few questions we think about when evaluating if someone will be successful as a Scratchpayer:
- Are you an empathetic listener / creator? We develop our key initiatives based on the design thinking process, and value those who can put themselves in the shoes of others to create the right solutions through thoughtful research, questioning, or listening.
- Can you work independently and thoroughly, but know when to raise important questions to the team? Being able to work independently is crucial for success, but you will sometimes think of questions or points relevant to other teams; knowing when to raise these questions and points is a must.
- Are you a strong communicator? We value those who can concisely relay the most relevant information to the right team members and those who can easily switch between high-level and low-level communication.
- Are you willing to give and receive feedback in a constructive way? We continually challenge each other to improve through timely and constructive feedback, and we are looking for those who believe feedback is a gift.
