Machine Learning Force Fields Developer

Schrödinger is looking for an exceptionally talented computational scientist to develop neural network potentials capable of accurate atomistic modeling of battery chemistry.  

The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background in computational sciences with experience developing interatomic potentials. Previous experience in professional software development is not required, but an interest in adopting best engineering practices is.

Required qualifications include:
  • Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related fields
  • Experience developing interatomic potentials based on neural networks or classical force fields 

Desirable qualifications include:
  • Experience applying molecular simulation and QM methods in model validation
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of the Python programming language
  • Capable of writing clear, highly organized, and maintainable code
