Communications Manager / Chargify

Chargify is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Communications Manager to join our growing team. As Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in promoting our company and its activities by creating informative content, press materials and media opportunities to share our message, milestones and products.  We’re looking for someone who is scrappy and is constantly seeking new and unique ways to tell Chargify's story through customer campaigns, product launches and releases.
Communications Manager Duties and Responsibilities

·       Quickly identify media and press opportunities
·       Develop, produce and maintain high-quality, informative, and interesting press releases, press kits, and related materials
·       Ensure all messaging aligns with key business strategies
·       Synthesize data quickly to identify and formulate potential stories
·       Develop content for social media, websites, newsletters, press releases, and any other distribution channels
·       Work with third part content developers, ensuring content quality and alignment to Chargify’s brand
·       Create presentations and reports, as well as gather articles and information for inside sales use.
·       Develop or commission market research as needed
·       Brainstorm and collaborate with teams for new ideas and strategies
·       Work with Chargify Leadership and Scaleworks Communications to coordinate deadlines, objectives, and schedules
·       Develop monthly media activity reports
·       Develop strategies for current and existing products, launches, and promotions
·       Build in communications hooks into current company processes

Communications Manager Requirements/Qualifications

·       Ability to connect dots quickly
·       Storyteller at heart
·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·       Existing media relationships a plus
·       Ability to work independently and within a team
·       Degree in marketing, journalism, business (or related fields) or equivalent experience
·       Three years of experience in communications, PR or related field
·       Thorough and demonstrable working understanding of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc)
·       Strong copywriting and content creation skills
·       Ability to own and execute multiple ongoing projects on a daily basis
·       Ability to take initiative to develop new strategies and outside-the-box ideas
