TVI Intern Job Description
The itinerant teacher for students with visual impairments will be assigned different schools to provide direct and/or consultative vision-related services to students in special education. These services enable students to learn in the classroom and community environments. Services for infants may be provided in the infants’ homes or child-care settings (within district boundaries). The students range in age from birth through 22, and may or may not have additional disabilities. The cognitive levels of the students range from severely impaired to gifted and talented.
All Interns must enroll in the visual impairments program through SFSU. SBES, Inc. provides generous tuition reimbursement to interns in the VI program.
Intern qualifications:
- Bachelors degree related to education
- A minimum of 1-year experience with special education
