What we need
We are seeking dynamic professionals/ strategic thinkers, problem solvers who have worked in the social and/or corporate sector. The individual will be responsible for ensuring customer success and managing the overall delivery of long-term and short-term projects. The individual must have prior experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment and is driven by social impact.
Primary Role
The Engagement Manager will be an integral part of our CSR Advisory vertical, building positive relationships with corporates, working closely with the team in designing and building solutions to enable high impact on the ground.
The roles and responsibilities of the Engagement Manager are outlined below:
Client Engagement
- Influence corporates on making sound CSR investments and practices.
- Design and implement flagship social development projects balancing corporate and community interests.
- Participate/contribute actively to ecosystem-level discussions to establish personal and organizational credibility.
- Accountable for client success and achieving program impact objectives
- High-touch stakeholder engagement and a strong relationship with the client
- Provide strategic advisory backed by analysis and effective presentation of recommendations and in-depth understanding of client’s work, and the needs of the program beneficiaries
- Effectively engage with multiple funders and varied stakeholders like funders, third-party agencies, legal and finance departments, event management agencies and other vendors to achieve program outcomes
Delivery Excellence
- Lead the project team, taking ownership of multiple streams of work including research and its dissemination, through regular governance.
- Plan the project to maximize the social impact outcomes and ensure that the project meets all milestones including profitability goals
- Work closely with the business development team to develop high-quality proposals to generate new business
- Participate in building and strengthening internal systems and processes which contribute towards effective and efficient functioning of the function.
What we are looking for
Passionate individuals who align with our vision of creating an impact on the ground and have the following profile:
- 8-10 years of professional experience in advisory and management/strategy/business consulting.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Certification/training in CSR/Sustainability.
- Prior knowledge of CSR law, SDG, M&E and designing employee volunteering programs is preferred.
- Prior experience of having worked in the social impact space on the ground.
- Experience of working in and leading a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Strong client engagement skills including experience of working with senior leadership
- Humility, willingness to listen and learn
