Digital Marketing Strategist

The Digital Marketing Strategist works closely with sales, merchandising, and advertising teams to build pay-per-click ad campaigns that drive sales on various e-commerce sites. This person plays an integral role in in outlining effective strategy and techniques for accounts, as well as implementing the paid search campaigns and presenting recommendations to clients. 
 
This role requires a strong understanding of paid search and performance marketing to effectively drive day-to-day tactical execution of the campaigns and continually exceed client expectations. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to shift focus to different types of projects, a quick learner, proficient with Excel and be able to work productively with various team members under minimal supervision. 
 
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

 · Develop campaign strategy to guide initiatives that will accomplish client’s business goals on various eCommerce sites 
 ·  Determine what tactics will best achieve the goals of each client (drive brand awareness, increase revenue, encourage loyalty etc.) 
 ·  Conduct research and determine appropriate keywords for campaigns
 ·  Build allocations and determine the most appropriate way to distribute a client’s advertising budget 
 ·  Work with internal and external teams to determine company-wide marketing strategies and incorporate them into the paid search strategy
 ·  Set appropriate KPIs and client expectations
 ·  Analyze campaign reports and present to client on a regular basis   
·  Analyze conversion rates, return on ad spend, and other relevant KPIs 
 ·  Track campaign performance through reporting tools 
 ·  Make suggestions for campaign improvement based on the findings discerned from analyzing reporting 
 ·  Communicate with clients regarding campaign updates and/or answer any questions regarding campaign performance
 ·   Drive tactical execution of the campaigns based on client expectations 
 ·  Assign tasks to coordinators to ensure campaigns are successfully set up and regular reporting is generated 
·  Optimize pay-per-click ad campaigns for best performance     
·  Monitor campaigns, budgets and performance
 
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 
 
·         Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-started qualities 
·         Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results
·         Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships
·         Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills 
·         Excellent analytical thinking and reasoning skills
·         Advanced computer skills, proven proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
·         Google AdWords and Tableau experience a plus
·         Amazon Advertising experience a big plus
