Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts and submission of monthly financial reports and schedules.
Oversee vessel accounts function and review the work performed by the vessel accounts.
Recording of transactions to appropriate accounts in the accounting system.
Oversee payment processing to suppliers and ensure all invoices are entered into the monthly accounts and paid when due.
Review of monthly AP aging report and perform suppliers’ statement reconciliation.
Handle banks reconciliation, monitor cash flow and assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts.
Prepare quarterly and annual office budgets.
Prepare GST returns and ensure timely filing of the returns and to assist in corporate tax matters.
Perform year end consolidation of group accounts and prepare annual statutory group financial statements in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards and Companies Act.
Preparation of audit schedules for office accounts.
Resolve any system/operational issues.
Liaise with banks, auditors and tax agents.
Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Requirements:
ACCA or related filed preferred
Experience in Vessel Accounting is advantageous
Strong analytical skills, financial statement interpretation / analysis and report writing skills with group consolidation experience
Independent, responsible, mature and possess high level of integrity, strong personal drive and resourcefulness
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
A team player who is hands-on and meticulous in his/her work and can deliver within tight deadlines
