To arrange everything to accomplish a voyage such as appointment of shipping agent, bunker replenishment, weather routing appointment etc
To issue voyage instruction to vessel master in accordance to the governing CP
To check all shipping documents such as pre-stowage plan, B/L
Handling freight invoice, demurrage/despatch, hire payment and port disbursement accounts and so on
Communication with vessel’s masters, owners/charterers or brokers, ports agent
Monitoring vessel’s movement and performance and report to related parties
In any dispute against counterparty such as cargo damage or shortage, lay-time, underperformance and so on, to communicate for settlement based on charter party
To educate/instruct juniors
Clerical work such as filing shipping documents, entering voyage data into business applications
Requirements:
Minimum ITE/Diploma (Those from maritime education will be advantageous)
Preferable having experience of vessel’s operation/sailing/bunker
Other skills such as Microsoft office word, Excel & Powerpoint is essential
No experience needed for those with maritime education
