Ansible Tower Engineer

Root Level Technology is seeking Ansible Tower Engineers to join us for work on Red Hat projects. The position has multiple locations across the US with opportunities for significant travel (70%). In this role, you will join a small but fast-growing organization that is at the forefront of helping customers guide digital transformation and IT architectures as they grow their existing markets or enter new ones. Serving as a trusted advisor you’ll become a crucial part of the customer experience, establishing long-term and trusted relationships with the customers along the way. As an Engineer with us, you will shape and translate digital strategies and business problems of our customers into technology solutions. Candidates are required to have proper work authorization for the United States.

Mandatory requirements

●      A minimum of five (5) years of industry experience
●      Strong hands-on RHEL and RHEL-based distros experience
●      Strong hands-on Red Hat products experience
●      Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) at a minimum
●      Strong hands-on experience with Ansible
●      Strong hands-on experience with Ansible Tower / AWX
●      Ability to whiteboard solutions interactively with customers
●      Ability to develop clear and full architectural documentation
 
Additional requirements (will be a plus)
●      Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
●      Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl)
●      Experience with other automation tools such as Puppet/Chef/SaltStack
●      Understanding of DevOps processes such as CI/CD
●      Hands-on experience with Jenkins or CI/CD tools
●      Hands-on experience with GIT and/or GitHub/GitLab/BitBucket products
●      Broad knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies
●      Experience with public cloud providers AWS, MS Azure, GCE
●      Prior to consulting, advisory, or professional services experience is preferred
●      Experience with performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis
●      Active community member and contributor to open source projects is a plus
 
Responsibilities

This Engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert Act on a number of Red Hat solutions; as well as Ansible/Ansible Tower automation design and implementation. Also responsible for Ansible playbooks and roles development and testing; as well as CI/CD design and implementation. This Engineer will provide technical leadership and technical guidance and participate in customer’s workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solution. Will also act as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams and support and review and audit existing automation solution; perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions and create technical documentation.
