Our team comprises engineers who helped create RocksDB, the online data and search infrastructure at Facebook, founded the Hadoop Filesystem project at Yahoo, implemented the Gmail backend at Google, and built databases at Oracle.

About the opportunity

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ goals and objectives, and articulate how our offerings address their needs
  • Create and own value based relationships at all levels in customer organizations
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Rockset’s products to demonstrate the value of our offerings in meetings and events
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for your accounts and account managers in your assigned territory
  • Actively participate in all phases of planning and execution for your territory, from initial discovery to the technical win
  • Create collateral, contribute to programs and collaborate with other colleagues to meet individual client needs
  • Be the voice of the customer and community to communicate needs, gaps, and enhancements to our engineering and leadership teams

 You'd be a great fit, if you have:

  • Prior experience in a technical pre-sales engineer, solution architect or similar role
  • Ability to articulate and sell the benefits of data, software and cloud solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • A history of successful customer relations where you developed an understanding of what made a difference, and devised architectures that helped meet a goal or address a problem
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations
  • A willingness to travel
