Company/Opportunity:
Founded by E&P experts who have previously invested $600M into Wyoming-based oil and gas assets, “RWW” is a new strategic mineral and royalty acquisition company seeking title landmen for in-house positions. RWW is looking for motivated and driven title landmen with an efficient attention to detail and fundamental understanding of the WY title process. Ideal candidates possess an educational background in Energy/Petroleum Land Management that is matched with a keen ability to pick up and integrate new software. Job Duties:
- Research county records to determine surface and mineral ownership by utilizing online databases such as Idoc and WY Land Records;
- Analyze and document research results to select the relevant information to input into runsheets and reports;
- Identify and flag potential defects for further review by title attorney;
- Maintain digital library of documents across various software platforms;
- Work executive management, project managers, and title team to design and improve upon workflow efficiencies as the company grows;
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Wyoming’s evolving title statues and provisions
Compensation: Commensurate with salary; full benefits, and performance incentives.
Location: Position will be based out of Company’s new headquarters in Sheridan, WY. Address TBD.
Required Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience engaged in full-time land work (in-house or field);
- Juris Doctorate or a degree in Energy/Petroleum Land Management may be substituted (sufficient job or project related experience a plus);
- Ability to meet specific deadlines, daily and weekly, based on changing company needs;
- Detail oriented and process driven; adept at the learning and application of new software technologies;
- Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills and experience working with a broad range of people;
- High degree of initiative, self-motivation, accountability and independent judgment;
- Energetic, empowers others, and shares ownership and accountability for project outcomes;
- Focus on priorities, setting objectives and goals, measuring performance and evaluating results;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel and Word
