PV INSTALLER /APPRENTICES
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The PV Installer is responsible for assembling the mechanical portion of a PV system. This includes installing feet, racking and the panels as designed by the engineering team. Accuracy and safety are important to Rising Sun. It is important that the Installers follow and promote all company protocols ensuring overall efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs system layouts and roof penetrations
- Assembles racking
- Runs conduit (both exterior and in attics and crawl spaces)
- Installs panel attachment, grounding and pulling wire
- Constructs wire combiner boxes
- Performs voltage testing
- Stages materials and tools
- Completes load standards and assist loading the trailer for each job
- Assists with general site preparation and continuous job-site clean-up
- Participates in regular safety training
- Maintains a neat and professional appearance and communicate with the customers in a positive manner
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Follow directions
- Construction, roofing or electrical experience
- Work well in a small team environment
- Follow all OSHA and company safety requirements without question
- Follow all company operations standards and processes
- Candidate owns their own tools
- Personal reliable transportation
- Detail oriented
- Proactive in accomplishing all tasks necessary for the job
- Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Clean driving abstract, no DUI within 5 years
- Must pass drug screen and background check
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, climb, bend, kneel, balance, stoop, walk and reach. The employee will frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
