Media Supervisor


RIESTER is seeking an experienced Media Supervisor with previous experience developing multi channel media plans in our Phoenix office. This person will lead strategic planning and campaign execution for assigned accounts and have regular communication with clients. 

The Media Supervisor is expected to have a strong understanding of the existing traditional and digital media landscapes and available media research. The Media Supervisor will be an active participant on the business; consistently engaging with internal and external team members and contributing ideas / insights that will benefit RIESTER and its clients. 

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • Strategic media planning and buying, knowledge of gaming and tourism a plus
  • 10+ years of agency and management experience
  • Develop client media objectives and strategies
  • Familiar with media research tools, i.e. MRI, Kantar Stradegy, Scarborough, SQAD
  • Determine partner selection, program details and rationale
  • Assist in developing buying strategies for maximizing media dollars and handling media negotiations
  • Author documents relating to the plan (must be able to create media brief and vendor RFP from client input)
  • Oversee media planning, performance and optimizations for multiple campaigns
  • Provide written POVs as needed to evaluate new media types / outlets
  • Review and provide constructive feedback to media planners/buyers on client deliverables 
  • Excellent presentation skills are required
  • Organized, detail-oriented, good with numbers and work well under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree achieved, preferably with a concentration in Advertising, Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration or Communications, advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience in the programmatic space a plus
  • 10% travel

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Manage expectations of clients and deliverables
  • Work closely with the client throughout entire program to maintain performance and resolve any performance issues
  • Assist Director in advising clients on best ways to integrate media into their advertising and marketing programs
  • Assist Director in expanding business opportunities among current client roster
  • Work closely with the integration team to manage day-to-day client interactions, maintain performance etc.
  • Supervise, train and mentor junior media staff
