Ridium Consulting has an immediate opportunity for a seasoned Epic Project Manager (Healthy Planet, or Ambulatory or Cadence) to oversee large-scale, complex healthcare IT projects while effectively managing client expectations. This role requires a seasoned Project Manager to identify key client business issues, determine client needs, develop recommendations and manage the engagement through successful completion. Epic implementation experience is a must.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead engagement planning and budgeting; engage and manage engagement teams; direct on-time, quality delivery of work; manage project risk
- Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance
- Mentor and coach associates; provide leadership and support for delivery teams
- Working with stakeholders from all organizations involved to clarify project goals and objectives, scope, expected outcomes and resource needs and translate to detailed project plans including gathering and understanding the business requirements to assist leaders in making decisions.
- Proactively identify project risks and work with stakeholders to mitigate to ensure achievement of business objectives and priorities.
- Conducts regular project team meetings and produces timely project artifacts (i.e., project charter, project plan schedule, team action items, team risks/issues log, team status reporting, etc.).
- Identify and manage key project success criteria/metrics across departments to accurately report project performance.
- Develop and maintain a repository for all project-related communications including work products, tracking logs, and reporting tools to communicate status and deliverables.
Qualifications include:
- Experience managing large-scale projects with medium to high complexity including planning, budgeting, resource management, deliverable development, timelines, issues and risks
- Experience developing and executing project plans utilizing a project management methodology and project planning tools
- Certified in one, or more, of the Epic modules
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient with office productivity software, such as, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, experience with Visio and MS Project desirable
- Minimum 10 years industry experience leading projects with internal and external stakeholders.
- Results-oriented and self-directed with demonstrated effectiveness with oral and written communication skills with proven experience presenting project information to representatives from all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, problem solve under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying project management methodology to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Accomplishes work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, productivity, quality, maintaining a customer-service focus, and identifying work process improvements.
- Meets cost standards by monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving actions.
- Provides project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent industry certification and experience
- Highly developed “soft skills” – people oriented extrovert
- Experience in strategic level consultative role
- Project Management Institute PMP Certification
- Epic implementation experience is a must.
