Position Summary
- This position is responsible for organizing the manufacturing and production of all post cultivation products. This includes the sectors of extraction laboratory, MIPs Kitchen, and trim/packaging. The Vice President of Production and Manufacturing Operations oversees all inventory and allocation of production resources and workflows post-harvest and testing phases of cultivated cannabis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Planning and organizing production schedules
- Assessing project and resource requirements/allocations
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
- Determining quality control standards
- Overseeing production processes
- Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
- Supervising the work of production managers and employees
- Organizing relevant training sessions
- Overseeing transfer of products from production facility to retail/wholesale accounts
- Product allocation for medical and adult use inventories
- Assisting with branding and packaging design
- Working with licensee agreements and setting up workflows for those products
- Supervising new equipment purchases or repairs and construction projects in production sectors
- Assisting with wholesale accounts and production of allocated sales orders/commitments
- Aiding in calculating and allocating available cannabinoids/high-expense ingredients between products and sales channels
- Working with management to determine future-looking staffing requirements
- Working with VP of Wholesale Operations to ensure marketing materials accurately reflect strengths and unique characteristics of products
- Training staff on new products and
- Budgeting and projecting needed resources

Required Education/Experience
- Cannabis factory management experience
- In depth knowledge of Trimming/Packaging
- In depth knowledge of extraction labs
- Experience with managing a wide range of employees
- Budget experience
- Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass CORI, background and social media background checks
