The Director of E-Commerce will have full accountability for the direction and outcomes of the of the E-Commerce organization in all three sub-channels including Amazon, Omni-Channel and Direct to Consumer.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve and/or exceed targeted sales and profits
- Responsibility for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the E-Commerce business including business planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics and web technologies
- Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact within the E-Commerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test E-Commerce initiatives
- Manage overall web presence including new product addition, product maintenance, accuracy and consistent presentation, effective organization and navigation
- Develop community with a goal of leveraging that to grow sales
- Working with the marketing team on timeline, calendar, site updates, email blasts and new initiatives (prioritize initiatives and issue calendar).
- Build traffic to the site through leveraging SEO and other metrics to increase traffic and conversion.
- Develop proposals for strategic on-line advertising vehicles/campaigns to effectively drive traffic and sales volume.
- Manage all aspects of web analytics related to E-Commerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Implement strategy for use of web analytics to optimize business processes and alternative actions, making recommendations in site architecture and organization.
- Monitoring sales by customer segments, sub channels, and geographies
- Producing related monthly, quarterly and annual reports as directed
- Benchmark competition and monitor E-Commerce trends
- Build and direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively develop E-Commerce solutions
- Identify new areas of E-Commerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
- Management of the Amazon business channel including budgeting of promotional spending
- Other projects or responsibilities as needed
- This position reports directly to the CEO and will be part of the Senior Leadership team
Requirements:
- 8+ years’ experience with extensive knowledge of E-commerce technology and sophisticated analytics
- Supervisory experience in an E-commerce role
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven decision making, organization and prioritization skills
- Proven ability to manage and drive the business with an eye on bottom line profitability
- Experience with Vendor Central and Seller Central is a plus
