Purpose of the Job
The Technical Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for day to-day running of the Flexpod Appliance (Cisco UCS, Nexus Switches, NetApp Storage) which hosts SAP and Custom Applications.
Ability to resolve hardware and software issues by coordinating with OEM and Offshore Technical Support.
Role and Responsibilities
Coordinate with partners and escort them to hosting facilities to replace failed hardware
Managing the capacity on storage volumes to ensure application capacity available ahead of demands
Generate capacity reports pertaining to storage aggerates and Applications
Follow-up with IT team for Datacenter Related Incidents, Problems (Network, Links, Power, HVAC etc.)
Monitor Incident Queue and follow-up with SMEs to investigate critical issues and participate resolution
Review Infra change Implementation plans, assess Impacts and Risks, obtain approvals and monitor Implementation
Update Inventory of hardware, Software licenses and track warranty and renewals
Support Triaging HW/SW Incidents, update ticket logs and resolution history
Experience working with remote teams to resolve hardware and software issues related to Storage, Network/Security and UCS infrastructure
Must Have Skills:
3-4 years’ experience working in IT Operations providing level 1 Support
Hands-on Experience Administering and supporting Storage and Network Devices (Basis tasks - Interface Configuration, granting permission, Creating Volumes, Setting replications, VLAN Configuration Debugging)
Self- motivated and customer focused individual.
Analytical and critical thinking skills with track record of working closely with customers.
Flexible, willing to take the initiative, can independently drive tasks
Experience with environments working under strict change control procedures
Good Communication Skills
Good to Have Skills:
Cisco Flexpod and Virtualization experience
Knowledge of HP monitoring tool and platforms.
Possess Industry certifications in Storage (NetApp) and Networking
