JOB DESCRIPTION: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
As our company grows, our finance team is growing too! We’re looking for a strong staff accountant to join our tightly knit team. This person will not only have strong general accounting knowledge and skills, but also be comfortable asking questions, improving current processes, and working at a start-up in the performance apparel industry.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare bank reconciliations and other Cash Holding reconciliations
- Manage client invoicing process and vendor disbursement process
- Book accounting entries, including general journal, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash, and inventory
- Assist with the preparation of timely and complete financial statements
- Perform month/quarter/year-end financial close activities
- Assist with the preparation of recurring reports to include: Cash Flow Analysis, Customer Metrics, Dashboards, Financial Metrics and Statements
- Assist in productivity, budget and forecasting measurements
- Coordinate with internal departments to maintain and track capital expenditures
- Participate in activities related to the proper costing, cost analysis and calculations
- Perform triple matching of inventory receipts to warehouse
- Participate in special projects and assignments as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or working towards a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field
- Fundamental understanding of financial statements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online preferred
- Prior professional accounting experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize workload and develop cross-functional relationships
- Excellent communication, writing and organization skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
