Charity Telephone Fundraiser

Are you looking to join a telephone fundraising team that promises a difference, and offers unscripted real two-way conversations.

We are looking to hire on a temporary basis, part time and full time telephone fundraisers, telesales candidates, or customer service advisors, with an expertise in communicating with supporters and delivering the message of a selection of small to medium sized charities. You will be making outbound calls to existing or previous donors.

The starting rate of pay is £10.55 p/h, based on previous fundraising experience. You will be given a review after 1 month with the opportunity to earn a higher hourly rate based on your performance. 

The right candidate will need to have excellent communication, listening and response skills, who are passionate, enthusiastic and self motivated. 

You’ll be working as part of our telephone fundraising team dedicated to specific clients, which is why you’ll need to be a great communicator and keen to learn and adapt your approach. As a charity fundraiser you will work to motivate and help facilitate supporters to maximise the funds being raised. You will also be required to maintain and develop relationships with existing supporters.

Travel may occasionally be required throughout London and elsewhere in the UK for client training.

Main Responsibilities

  • Understand key issues faced by your charities and how the support gained can make a lasting difference
  • Help your charity clients grow their supporter base
  • Raise awareness to support a range of great charities
  • Deliver feedback from projects, often directly to the client
  • Achieve a constant level of quality over the phone and represent our clients in a professional and efficient manner
  • Deliver supporter-centric two way conversations that engage the supporter
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and projects


Our Offer

We have temporary full and part time positions available, with a competitive salary (London Living Wage and above). You’ll have 20 days of holiday, plus 8 days of bank/public holidays (pro rata to your working hours). You'll also be part of the company pension.


Essential Job Requirements

  • Ability to be flexible; respond positively to change
  • Able to take on any coaching and feedback to improve supporter experiences and campaign performance
  • Excellent communication skills and people skills
  • Self starter who is keen to take responsibility for their own work and actions
  • Provides evidence of effective IT skills
  • Previous fundraising or telesales experience


Desirable Job Requirements

  • Experience of telephone fundraising
  • Basic understanding of fundraising and/or marketing
