    We are looking to hire a Junior Data Officer, ideally with experience, on a full time casual basis with flexibility to work around your creative career. You will be part of the Return Fundraising data team, supporting the team in supplying and exporting data which drives our charity telephone fundraising campaigns. 

    The right candidate will need to have excellent teamwork skills, a keen eye for detail, high standards, a desire to learn new skills, along with a good knowledge of Spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets). Any HTML, CSS and Javascript knowledge is a bonus!

    Title: Junior Data Officer
    Reporting to: Head of Operations
    Responsible for: Processing of data in support of fundraising
    Location: Screenworks, 22 Highbury Grove, London, N5 2EF

    The Operations team is looking for a Junior Data Officer to join us. The Operations team is tasked with delivering exceptional supporter-led fundraising for our clients. You will assist in the setup of projects and the processing and management of data flow within Operations. 

    You will  take responsibility for designing  scripts for our telephone fundraisers, managing databases, creating and formatting documents and data, to ensure delivery of complex client projects. You will work with a significant amount of internal and client data. 

    You will be involved in almost every step of our work, will receive training on the Data Protection Act (and GDPR), develop your skills in MS Excel and project management software, and produce reports for our clients. The role is a mixture of managing data, administration, problem solving, research and reporting.  

    Main Responsibilities

    • Recode and restructure data to formats required by internal and external clients
    • Create user friendly telephone scripts that promote conversation and accuracy
    • Liaise with clients regarding information required to set up their project 
    • Produce accurate analysis of client and internal projects
    • Ensure the accuracy of the data  we collect and deliver to clients
    • Input accurate  information to our project management software.
    • Produce reports from our project management software


    Person specification
     
    Essential

    • Intermediate or better MS Excel ability
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Good Numeracy Skills
    • Problem solving skills
    • Ability to be organised and keep on top of deadlines
    • Ability to be flexible and respond positively to change
    • Work effectively under pressure and deal with conflicting priorities

    Desirable

    • Good verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge in HTML/Java script
    • An understanding of the Data Protection Act and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations plus an appreciation of the forthcoming  GDPR regulations
    • A qualification or background in statistics
    • Experience using SQL
    • Experience of Relational Databases

    Our Offer

    • £12.50 per hour, company pension
    • This a full time position, 37.5 hours per week (though we’re happy to work around actor careers if necessary)
    • 25 days of holiday, plus 8 days bank holiday, increasing with service to 30 days plus bank holidays
