Position Title: | Dietary Aide

Are you an individual that has a passion for making a difference?
We are looking for a qualified Dietary Aide to prepare and serve food to residents in our facilities. You will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary condition in cooking and dining premises.
A Dietary Aide must be capable to prepare food following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. They must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach.
The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Nourishment preparation and delivery to residential areas.
2. Food preparation of meal/nourishment items as directed by cook.
3. Delivering food carts and their return to the kitchen.
4. Collection, cleaning and storage of dishes from all areas.
5. To set up serveries in residential areas.
6. Plating resident meals according to meal service notes.
7. Ensuring adequate basic supplies in servery area. Reference- Long Term Care Act # 71-7 (The licensee shall ensure that food and beverages that are appropriate for the residents’ diets are accessible to staff and available to residents on a 24 hour basis).
8. Assists in the training and supporting of new staff during the orientation period.
9. Completion of specific cleaning assignments and collection of garbage.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Food Service Worker Diploma
· Valid Food Handlers Certificate
· Vulnerable Police Check valid in the past 6 months
· 2 step TB Test
· Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
· Experience in Long Term Care an asset
