Qualifications
At Berkshire Care Centre we take pride in our employees, so your qualifications are important to us. We use them to get to know you and see if we are a good fit for each other. The qualifications needed to join our family at Berkshire Care Centre are as follows:
- have a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university [see LTC Homes Act Reg. 79 Section 67(a)]
- has successfully completed a 4 day training program in restorative care
- must be physically capable of performing job duties
- experience working in a LTC setting
- committed to promoting residents’ well-being
- ability to develop, implement and evaluate programs
- demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- computer literate
