About The Team
The Platform Team handles the data, integrations, and algorithms that powers our analytics. We generate the tracking information placed on client sites, collect those points of data, and attribute that data, creating a full picture of what happens while candidates seek jobs. The team also handles integrations with our vendors, allowing us to pull in data for advertising costs, applicant tracking systems, and job postings themselves, enriching our data landscape. All of this work empowers our vision is to understand every hiring decision in the world.
To do this we make extensive use of Java, Apache Spark, ElasticSearch, and Redshift. We’ve built custom web-based tools around these services to make them easier to manage. Also, we’re AWS enthusiasts -- there is no server closet at Recruitics. Most importantly we have a backlog of interesting analytical and integration problems to solve.
Responsibilities
You will work with product management and business stakeholders to improve how we collect and analyze our data. With support from the team, you will design and implement a to answer new questions or improve the answers we’re already generating. As you become familiar with our tools and frameworks, you will help enhance their capabilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency or knowledge of Data Processing Techniques (such as ETL or Spark is a plus)
- Familiarity with Java/Kotlin or a similar object-oriented programming language.
- Proficiency with at least one database, esp Elasticsearch or Postgres.
- Four-year degree in computer science, math, or equivalent technical experience.
- Must have at least three years of progressive experience in software engineering.
- Must be able to legally work in the United States and be available to work weekdays from our office in midtown Manhattan.
