Sales Manager, Data and Research Products
Position Description
As Sales Manager, Data and Research Products, you’ll take the lead on selling PlugShare's electric vehicle-focused data and research products to automakers, electric utilities and other industry stakeholders. This includes electric vehicle charging infrastructure data and SaaS products, business intelligence tools, consumer research products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead in account planning and forecasting activities for PlugShare's electric vehicle market data and research products
- Participate in the entire deal-making process from prospecting to qualifying inbound leads through to contract negotiation and closing
- Creatively develop and present multi-product offerings to clients that are sculpted to their specific needs
- Achieve revenue growth by meeting quarterly sales targets
- Provide "voice of the customer" feedback to the product development and marketing teams
- Actively mine and expand a comprehensive database of industry decision-makers
- Maintain a disciplined approach to lead and contact management, using Salesforce and similar CRM tools
- Support in product pricing and contract approval for customized data deliverables, working directly with product and engineering teams
- Help to build and manage a team of sales professionals
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree is better
- 4-7 years of experience in a Sales/Business Development role preferred
- Great verbal and written communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Experience selling data-driven products and software services preferred
- Willingness to travel: this is a personal selling position that will require frequent face-to-face meetings
- Strong understanding of financial and contract management
- Appreciation for the benefits of vehicle electrification
