Technical Project Manager

We are in search for a Technical Project Manager to join our software development team. Joining the PlugShare Engineering Team as a TPM, you'll work hand-in-hand with our full stack developers and software engineers to deliver exciting new features to the biggest global community of Electric Vehicle Drivers and work with leading auto manufacturers who are leading the charge into the future of transportation.

 Responsibilities:
 
  • Conduct full cycle project management for multiple large projects 
  • Provide end-to-end project support and delivery throughout the entire lifecycle of our software/system development project/program
  • Work as a team member to runs individual projects and be responsible for completing projects within allotted timelines and budgets
  • Define project scope and objectives, coordinating activities and identifying resources for a project team
  • Communicate and escalate technology issues, plans and solutions from both a business and a technical perspective 
  • Work with external automotive, utility and other industry partners to lead integration planning
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports 
  • Conduct project meetings and be responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Ensure adherences to quality standards for project deliverables
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to the team; recommending actions to direct the analysis and solution of problems
  • Communicate with internal and external clients
  • Work in conjunction with other team members to align release schedules if necessary
  • Collaborate with PMO project managers on schedule, based on priorities
  • Attend project meetings to provide status on defined deliverables
  • Work with leads to provide level of efforts for new initiatives
  • Oversee forecasting and resource head counts for an assigned group
  • Take lead in driving an effort to analyze a situation and present a proposed solution
  • Drive release show stoppers across development and test teams
  • Tranquilly re-plan sudden changes in requirements or scope 
  • Identify and resolve gaps in processes and technology directly or via escalations 

Requirements:

  • Engineering technical background with at least 2-3 years of experience in the IT Industry 
  • 2+ years of System Engineering, Project Management, or Technical management experience 
  • Knowledge of a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with extensive knowledge in Waterfall and Agile development methodologies 
  • An understanding of application interfaces and dependencies required
  • Must have experience utilizing JIRA, Microsoft Project, or OmniPlan 
  • Extensive experience in full software development lifecycle duties including requirements gathering, design, estimation, prototyping, implementation, and quality assurance
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical content to general audiences 
  • Ability to judge severity of problems and the need to escalate to management
  • Previous experience in the Automotive Sector or Electric Mobility is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications
