Internal Sales Representative

Working from our office in Winooski, VT, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for establishing relationships with key decision makers (i.e. District Administrators, Principals, Curriculum, etc.) in specified territories. The main objective is to sell Reading Plus web-based reading intervention solutions to elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and districts.  Most interaction with prospective customers will be via telephone, hunting throughout the territory, following up on sales leads, conducting virtual presentations and securing customers.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Achieve defined sales objectives

  • Pipeline and forecast management
  • Communicate with sales team members appropriately
  • Maintain and develop skills in the areas of product and industry knowledge
  • Perform administrative responsibilities; reporting, customer database maintenance
 
Requirements:
  • Two (2) plus years of inside sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the education field and use of computer technology in the classroom, a plus
  • Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated contributor
  • Goal- oriented with a proven record of sales accomplishments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
  • Willingness to travel on occasion
  • Ability to work remotely, if necessary

Reading Plus supports educators by providing differentiated literacy instruction for all students, grades 3-12. The research-based, dynamically adjusting program gives educators a 360-degree view of each student and provides the personalized instruction and silent reading practice students need to become independent readers.
