Head of Sales & Support/Business Development

The Head of Sales & Support/Business Development will be responsible for the development of sales strategies, market growth plans and account management execution for ReadCoor. In this role you will establish a best in class account management and support team for our successful launch and commercialization of ReadCoor’s products and services. The incumbent will be instrumental in driving product awareness, product pipeline, and support key sales best practices and practices while being accountable for delivering business results.

This role will work closely with other teams such as Commercial, Science, Engineering as well as external customers, vendor-partners and key stakeholders. This is a highly visible role; we are looking for a candidate who is willing to handle tasks from the mundane to most complex as you build out these functions at ReadCoor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will build and lead the sales organization responsible for achieving the following tasks: 

  • Ensure the development of product, positioning, pricing and placement of ReadCoor products for the research and clinical marketplace
  • Develop selling model for ReadCoor’s product and selling strategy
  • Engage personally with customer support and relationships
  • Negotiate contracts with customers and partners
  • Recruit, select, hire and develop a sales and customer support team
  • Implement compliant key processes, tools and technology
  • Develop sales incentive compensation plans, field reporting requirements, sales
  • administration policies and procedures in a compliant manner
  • Meet or exceed sales forecasts, market share or equivalent metrics 
  • Oversee the implementation of sales force automation and customer relationship management tools as needed to run the business effectively
 
Specifically, the Head of Sales & Support will:
  •  Have launch and marketing experience in bringing new products to market
  • Be accountable for the performance of the Sales organization and provide requisite reporting to key stakeholders (i.e., Leadership Team, BOD, etc.)
  • Be knowledgeable of the clinical, research and pharma markets
  • Have a demonstrated track record of managing sales and driving sales results through others in a compliant manner
  • Monitor and report competitive activities of competitors and provide strategies 
  • Monitor progress and performance against sales strategies and plans
  • Assist with forecasting, developing and monitoring of sales forecasts 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree required. Advanced Degree in Life Sciences preferred
  • Sales leadership experience is a must
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in biotech sales required
  • Experience in managing external partners and heath care professionals to assist in the development of strategy and tactics
  • Excellent analytical skills, well organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to think strategically and work independently; strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several large complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time
