This Customer Service Specialist position at RateGenius assists customers, completing loan applications over the phone and performing follow-up work on current customer’s loan applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates with customers by telephone to provide information about services offered by the Company
- Assists customers in completing applications
- Contacts customers by email or outbound calls to respond to inquiries
- Notifies customers of missing information on applications
- Transfers customer calls, post applications to Loan Officers
- Keeps records of customer interactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments and actions taken
- Maintains a high call to application conversion, while maintaining a positive attitude over the phone and following proper compliance standards
- Prints, folds, stuffs, seals, and mails out adverse action letters to customers in a timely manner when necessary
- Maintains excellent job knowledge of the processes, products, systems, compliance and company information, as well as, continual professional development through personalized training with management, classes, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.
Skills/Requirements:
- High school diploma or a GED
- Strong background in customer service required
- Knowledge of refinancing auto loans a plus
- Ability to interact with a professional demeanor with staff, general public, Insurance companies and customers
- Ability to work independently to drive projects to completion with defined deadlines
- Must possess excellent planning, problem solving, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented with respect to documentation and execution
