Sales and Marketing Operations Manager

About the Role
The Sales and Marketing Operations Manager is the driving force behind sales and marketing productivity. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, this role plans, implements, and optimizes the sales and marketing process; heads the production and analysis of sales and marketing data; administers sales and marketing systems; ensures sales and marketing objectives and priorities are fully supported and delivered; and works closely with internal/external stakeholders to enable cross-functional alignment. Our team is small and we have the freedom to build the right solutions from the ground-up.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Owns sales & marketing data, analytics and reporting, monitors the accuracy of data, and ensures the efficient distribution of data and analytics to the sales & marketing organizations
  • Administers and optimizes enabling technologies, including our CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation (Pardot) systems
  • Works closely with sales & marketing management to document, implement, and optimize sales & marketing processes
  • Leads project management on sales & marketing objectives and priorities to ensure timely and effective completion
  • Serves as a strategic partner to sales & marketing leadership in accomplishing Company and department goals
  • Coordinates the sales & marketing forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes
  • Coordinates training delivery to sales, sales management, and sales support personnel
  • Supports the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources
  • Provides input to senior leadership, Accounting, Finance and Human Resources in the administration of sales & marketing incentive compensation programs
  • Fosters close, cooperative relationships with peer leaders, sales & marketing management, and other personnel in efforts to maintain cross-functional alignment

Required Skills and Experience
  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • At least four years sales operations experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency owning and managing data and analytics
  • Expert Salesforce administrator; Pardot (or Marketo, Hubspot or Eloqua) experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong process documentation skills, and associated people management skills to drive process compliance
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Prior exposure to various sales compensation models and sales processes
  • Solid understanding of Account Based Marketing
  • Ability to drive change in an organization with an exceptional collaboration and relationship-building mindset
