Study Leader Team Lead


As a Study Leader Team Lead, you will manage and mentor a group of approximately 10 study leaders and associates in order to maximize their capabilities to deliver high-quality clinical studies.



People Management



·       Coach and develop global staff to maximize their contribution to the delivery of studies across various therapeutic areas


·       Manage performance of direct reports through regular dialog and throughout the year in accordance with the client's performance management cycle ensuring completion of the appropriate performance management system activities; covering primary roles and responsibilities, goal setting, competencies and individual career development plans


·       Ensure effective communication within and across the functions and ensure that employee relations are managed proactively and regularly to maximize the motivation and well-being of the employees


·       Ensure that employees are trained, developed and coached so that their capabilities comply with client's  and regulatory standards, maximizing their contribution to the projects and developing their competencies and skills in their respective role


·       Build and maintain passion and integrity within their function and throughout the Roche organization


 


Functional Excellence



·       Oversee study execution and delivery from a functional perspective and provides timely and effective issues resolution where necessary by contributing functional expertise


·       Ensure that standards are developed and implemented globally in a manner that creates consistency, efficiency and high standards of compliance


·       Ensure that the activities of each direct report are compliant with ICH-GCP guidelines,  SOPs,  processes and standards and any applicable local operating guidelines or regulations


·       Collaborates with Business Operations to evaluate and react to internal and external feedback, identify and drive the implementation of process improvements and initiatives, track resource and performance metrics and contribute to knowledge sharing with the objective of enhancing productivity and efficiency


·       Actively contribute to the Clinical Development Expert Resource Teams mission and objectives


 


Qualifications


 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a medical/science-related field
  • Significant experience in Clinical Research/Development
  • Previous leadership/management experience or significant experience in leading projects
  • Strong development orientation and interest in creating opportunities to develop direct reports; ideally with experience coaching employees and creating development plans.
  • Track record of managing performance to maximize contribution, giving feedback and coaching
  • Strong working knowledge of Clinical Development with up to date awareness of evolving technologies for study delivery
  • Ability to work in a matrix and lead by influence as well as direct line reporting
