We currently have a full-time mental health professional job opening at various correctional centers surrounding Allen County with the essential role of providing therapeutic services. The mental health services within the jails are expanding so now is an exciting and challenging time for a motivated clinician. Although the correctional setting can be challenging, we aim to bring to our team an individual that can advocate for the patient, be courteous with multiple stakeholders, while being efficient and safe in a fast-paced environment. The impact you provide is incredibly valuable to society and often significantly assists in reducing recidivism rates.
Responsibilities: Therapist will be responsible for individual and group therapeutic services. Provide behavioral health representation on a treatment team with medical and security staff along with crisis intervention services. Duties will be in varied settings such as Holding/Receiving, General Population and Restrictive Housing settings.
Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or related field.
Preference: Indiana license such as LCSW, LMFT, of LMHC preferred but not required. Correctional experience also preferred but not required.
Location: Various counties surrounding Allen County.
