Head Chef

The Client
Our client is well-established operator within the Hospitality industry and is looking for a Head Chef to manage their Kitchen brigade. The chosen candidate will assist the General Manager in the day to day running of the outlet’s Kitchen.

Main Duties
Ensure that food and hygiene standards are met at all times 
Makes sure that timetables, leave rosters and attendance registers are up-to-date
Designs menus and proposes ideas for different and innovative concepts
Ensures that regular on-the-job training is carried out so that Kitchen staff perform their duties correctly
Manages HACCP procedures for all areas within the Kitchen and its outlets
Manages close communication with Food & Beverage staff to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements
Previous experience in a leadership role within a Kitchen
Experience in managing budgets and food cost is essential
Relevant qualification in Food Preparation will be considered an asset
Candidate must be able to communicate in English and ideally Maltese
Knowledge about all Health and Safety and food handling procedures
Computer literate
