Customer Service Associate

Job Purpose

The customer Service Associate is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department.


  • Follow SOPs for customer service, order entry, AR tasks, and other office tasks daily
  • Enter customer orders that come in by email or phone and upsell whenever possible
  • See orders through from price inquiry to order entry
  • Respond to customer service emails and phone calls
  • Offer exceptional customer support by solving problems, answering questions, and delivering information
  • Work with Shipping team to determine ship dates or modify orders as needed
  • Give shipping quotes and provide tracking information
  • Assist A/R with order invoicing and charging
  • Train across sales and customer service department to work as a back up for others when they are not in the office
  • Answer office telephones and/or direct phone calls as necessary
  • Create or send out sales samples as needed


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Great customer service attitude!
  • Fast learner and comfortable working in a fast paced and growing office environment
  • Positive energy, proactive problem solver, and eager to grow and advance
  • Very experienced with and comfortable using a PC
  • Very experienced with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience with Quickbooks and/or Saleforce or other CRM or ERP 
  • Flexible and team player—this position supports many wonderful customers. This person must be willing to jump in anywhere as needed and try to solve any problem that arises
