2020 On-site is growing! We are looking for an energetic and passionate optometrist to join us as we continue to disrupt the optical industry. You will work closely with our well-trained and supportive retail team to create a customer-centered experience in our mobile, luxury optical clinics, using the latest and greatest equipment and technology.
You'll also get to work in a retail-setting without the demands of traditional retail, as our core hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Providing exceptional patient care is core to what we do, but so is taking care of our people. Role & responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams in an efficient and timely manner, including prescribing corrective lenses
- Provide exceptional patient care by accurately performing all services in line with our processes, procedures and high standard of care
- Educate, counsel and excite patients about our mission, the importance of eye health, and prescription terminology
- Ensure all patients receive an accurate diagnosis, prescription, and appropriate recommendations to ensure all visual lifestyle needs are addressed
- Collaborate with retail team to effectively communicate product knowledge, and accurately describe the features and benefits of various lenses, frames, etc. to patients
- Enters patient information and completes necessary clinical documentation and records in the EHR system with complete accuracy
Skills & qualifications
- Passionate about vision care and educating others on the importance of eye health
- Excited by a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can effectively multi-task
- Eager to go above and beyond to provide a delightful experience and exceed patient expectations
- Friendly, approachable and a strong communicator
- Comfortable with learning new technology; previous experience with an EHR system strongly desired
- Willing to travel in and around the Greater Boston area
- Prior clinical experience is preferred, but not required
- Valid license to practice optometry in Massachusetts
