Manager of Business Development Representatives

This role will be our first dedicated Manager of BDRs, and we're excited to have you join our innovative team. We do ToFu a bit differently, and we're looking for someone who can expand on our current efforts, mentor and coach our BDRs, and scale the team. Our BDRs hunt, prospect, and qualify without a phone on their desk - that's right, no cold calling. Our BDRs sit in Boston and in Salt Lake City, and they engage in both a transactional and a consultative sales process.

What you’ll do: 
  • Manage a team of 8+ BDRs across two locations, owning their success through: 
    • Onboarding/training, performance management, and professional development
    • Leveraging ABM initiatives to drive strategic hunting and prospecting 
    • Getting your hands dirty - sitting in on first calls, creating experiments in how we prospect,
    • Ensuring successful attainment of BDR quarterly team goals
  • Partner with our Growth Marketing team to ensure consistency and quality of our InBound leads
  • In collaboration with our Head of Sales, experiment, iterate, and continue to enhance our ToFu sales processes, policies, tools, etc.
  • Leverage technology tools to provide real-time visibility, analytics, and reporting on performance
  • Report into the Head of Sales who sits in our Boston HQ

This might be a good fit if you have demonstrated experience... 
  • Working in a growth stage startup, SaaS technology and/or professional services/consulting firm, managing BSR/SDR teams that prospect, hunt, and qualify prospective clients across transactional and consultative sales with SMB and Enterprise clients
  • Leveraging ABM initiatives to drive strategic hunting and prospecting  
  • Leading BDR teams to greatness through a hands-on, coaching mentality
  • Developing and executing sales training programs and initiatives
  • Overall, if this is not your first rodeo
