As a Business Systems Analyst at Productive Edge, you will be a member of a high performing team delivering software solutions to clients. Your days will normally consist of the following activities:
Ø Partner with internal project leadership to understand and propose solutions for our clients
Ø Work with client and internal stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements on current and future systems and processes
Ø Serve as a subject matter expert in the customer's business, functional, and system needs to act as a point of contact between business and delivery teams
Ø Contribute to iteration planning meetings to determine release and sprint capacity, estimation, and velocity
Ø Write epics and user stories to detail software design for onshore and offshore development teams, using multiple tools and artifacts as needed
Ø Create technical and system diagrams, wireframes and other visuals to illustrate user and system needs
Ø Participate in Agile development activities to ensure quality, clarity, and transparency throughout delivery
Ø Deliver software that adds measurable value to clients, ensuring client satisfaction throughout engagement
To excel in these daily activities, a Business Systems Analyst at Productive Edge would make use of the following experience and skills (not all of these are required, but highly desirable):
Ø Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP), tools (JIRA), and artifacts (epics, user stories)
Ø Diagramming/modeling tools (OmniGraffle, Visio), artifacts (data flow, sequence, state machine, entity relationship, process flows, use cases) and languages (UML, BPMN)
Ø Development/technical knowledge and skills (E-commerce, SOA, OOP, .NET / Java, SQL)
Ø Ability to document system-level requirements like services, database models, integration points and server configurations
Ø Experience in a team building and deploying custom software
Ø Formal training in software development and/or system design
Ø Quality processes (test cases, defect triage)
Ø Excellent communication and presentation skills, working with both client and technical teams
Ø Time, task, organization and meeting management
Ø Project management processes and artifacts (Gantt charts, work breakdown structures)
