We are looking for a Director of Sales with 3+ years of sales management experience to build and manage our outbound sales efforts to reach exporters of fresh produce in Mexico and LatAm. This Director will manage our Sales Development Representatives (SDR) team located in Tijuana, and build a Business Development Representative (BDR) team located across the key growing regions for fresh fruits and vegetables in Mexico. Both SDR and BDR teams will generate top of funnel leads for the sales organization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieve rapid revenue growth by leading Produce Pay’s efforts in originating large exporting growers in Mexico, Central America, and South America
  • Manage an inside sales team that is agile and effective at outbound efforts
  • Hire a team of field-based business development specialists: own the end-to-end recruiting process
  • Manage the ramp-up of new reps through onboarding, training, objectives setting, and ongoing coaching and performance monitoring
  • Create sales contests, leaderboards, dashboards, and other performance management tools
  • Write and maintain sales playbooks, process maps, battle cards, and other internal sales collateral for a highly complex and technical enterprise sale
  • Pilot and implement new sales strategies and go-to-market approaches

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Firsthand experience working with farmers and growers is strongly preferred, e.g. grew up on a farm or worked with grower accounts as an agricultural company. 
  • Minimum 3 years sales management experience, with expertise in managing remote salespeople
  • Metrics- driven leader (e.g. contest management and compensation plan)
  • Experience building and continuously improving sales processes 
  • Experience with training and coaching teams in a complex product
  • Management experience within a dynamic environment and fast-growing company (e.g. startups)
  • Demonstrated capabilities in hiring and training
  • Professional fluency in English and native fluency in Spanish
