VP of Marketplace

We are looking for a VP of Marketplace to lead the development of our newest line of business, the ProducePay Preferred Network. This leader will be on the front lines of scaling up a managed marketplace of "preferred" buyers and sellers of fresh produce that leverages and complements ProducePay's financing capabilities. As with any marketplace, the key to success will be successful creation and fulfillment of trading relationships. 

  • Build a technology-enabled matchmaking process
  • Create standards for evaluating growers and buyers
  • Facilitate introductions between buyers and sellers
  • Work with sales leadership to set up incentives for the finance sales teams to contribute to growth of the Preferred Network
  • Coordinate with the Field Operations team to ensure continuity of harvest and manage any quality or pricing issues
  • Manage issue and dispute resolution (e.g. price issues) with the Account Management team
  • Provide executive-level support to resolve issues for enterprise customers

  • Spanish speaking (native or professional fluency)
  • 5+ years of experience in a startup or fast growth environment, building up a new product line from scratch
  • Demonstrated excellence in working cross-functionally
  • Hands-on attitude and passion for working directly with customers
